Performance
Review of results against plan, cash requirements, forecasts and significant operating variances.
Confidential discussionIndependent investment oversight
Periodic, unconflicted assessment for overseas owners of US businesses—providing greater visibility, earlier warning and independent commercial judgment.
The need
Distance makes it harder for an overseas investor to judge what is happening inside a US holding. Management, the board, accountants and attorneys each have important responsibilities, but none may have the sole task of looking at the investment from the owner's perspective.
Nimbus acts as a second, experienced set of eyes: reviewing agreed information, engaging with management where appropriate, identifying matters requiring attention and reporting directly to the investor.
Areas of attention
Review of results against plan, cash requirements, forecasts and significant operating variances.
An independent view of the quality, completeness and consistency of information reaching the investor.
Assessment of decision-making, accountability, alignment of interests and matters requiring owner attention.
Early identification of commercial, financial, management and stakeholder issues that may threaten value.
Independent—not duplicative
The scope and frequency of each engagement are agreed after an initial confidential discussion and reflect the investor's objectives, the nature of the business and the level of independent involvement required.
The service does not replace management reporting, the board, an audit or specialist legal, accounting or investment advice. Its purpose is to give the investor a separate commercial assessment—and a clear route to deeper evaluation or intervention if circumstances require it.
